Echopainter Media, founded June
5th 2008, is an art vehicle of Sean
N. Ihne, a New York based
writer/director/editor/photographer. It
encompasses many aspects of
visual and literary art and exists for
one reason; to bring true emotion to
a widespread audience. Too many
independent films cater to a very
small audience by making their work
inaccessable, either mentally or
psychially. Echopainter wants to be
enjoyed by all. So take a tour
around the site. Watch some films,
check out some pictures, come to
some screenings and enjoy. That's

Born in Port Jefferson, NY, Sean started with an
eye for a frame and a mind for a story. From the
first lens to the first page, Sean began with
writing short stories, poetry, songs, and even
dabbled in journalism at a very young age,
letting it shape his childhood. In high school, he
started playing with both film and digital
photography, spending hours behind the
viewfinder and inside the darkroom.
Once college emerged, he decided the best way
to combine both of these art forms was directing
films. Already being fond of cinema, he pursued
a degree, eventually graduating in 2009 from
Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY with a BFA
in Film/Video.
In 2006, he directed his first project, a music
video for friend and singer/songwriter Blane
Richoux. In 2008, he founded Echopainter, an
"alter-ego" of sorts, a vehicle for his auteur
pieces of film, writing, and photos. Now after
writing, directing, editing and producing two
short films (2008's "Basis" and the upcoming
"Faint by Numbers"), his experience and vision
for the screen can only mean good things to
come.
